Sunny Days "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" blog hop

Welcome to the Sunny Days "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and the last stop on this stellar Blog Hop. I hope you had a fabulous time hopping along and seeing the gorgeous creations from our hostesses.  You should have arrived here from Angelina's blog...she makes some really amazing stuff and she always has great information for us about Russia :)  If you didn't start at the beginning you should check out Lora's blog because the hop starts there http://craftsaremything.blogspot.com/

Since I am last, I decided to make a "thank you" card to thank everyone for hoping along with us :)  The color that I was assigned was white...at first I wasn't sure what I was going to do because I love to use color on my cards and thought that it would be difficult to just use white.  After thinking for a little while I decided to make this card using my cuttlebug, some ribbon, embossing folders, a stick pin and some pearl accents.  If you have never made a stick pin I highly recommend that you try it, they are super easy to make and add a lot to a card(all you need is a coursage pin, some beads and adhesive...glossy accents works well because it drys clear)  To see the dry embossing better click on the picture...you can barely tell its there if you dont :(

We aren't doing prizes on the blog hop today, because the real prize is seeing great ideas and
filling your mind with mojo kicking fuel. However, I do hope you leave a comment and let me know what you think. There is also a post in the forum where you can post any cards you make that are blog hop inspired. I do hope to see you there.

I hope that you enjoyed the hop...now that you are done we would love it if you would join us over at the cardmaker forum, we have challenges and games going on :) http://www.cardmakermagazine.com/cardswap/index.php/board,61.0.html

In case you lose your way, here is a full list of blogs on the hop.
-- This is me and after me you can go to http://www.cardmakermagazine.com/cardswap/index.php/board,61.0.html to check out the challenges and games :)

  12. this is a beautiful white card! I am amazed at how many stick pins have been used on the blog cards. I guess I'm going to try my hand at making some. The cabochons I am interested in would make great stick pins. Congratulations on your card, Ashley.
